The Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association has been organizing junior golf tournaments for more than five decades and developing high school, collegiate and professional players along the way.

What You Need to Know About Southern Nevada Junior Golf

1. Have fun! This one sometimes gets lost in the shuffle of competition, but at the end of the day (or round), having fun and creating memories is what playing junior golf is all about. In 20 years, we know our current Las Vegas junior golfers will look back and remember the great times, the laughs, the friendships, and more, not the double bogeys they made.

2. The Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association is for all levels of golfers, from beginner to intermediate to expert and everyone in between. We offer introductory golf classes, clinics with professionals plus fun tournaments to get involved with quickly, but then also some of the top junior golf tournaments available including local, regional and national qualifiers for some of the very best team and individual events..

3. A great way to first get involved with junior golf is to attend our popular “Learn to Play Golf” classes that are available at area courses in all parts of the valley. Check out this link.

4. If you want to play high school or college golf, playing in the SNJGA is the way to advance your skills and exposure. Many of our kids receive college scholarships and most of them also play on their high school teams. Many have won state individual and/or team titles. Here is a cool recent article about that.

5. Make sure money isn’t a barrier. The SNJGA is here to introduce the game of golf to all kids from all backgrounds and we make it as affordable as possible.
