Once again, Ward 5 Councilman Cedric Crear, the City of Las Vegas, the UNLV Professional Golf Management program, the Southern Nevada and Southern Nevada Junior Golf Associations, and Las Vegas Golf Club hosted the Ward 5 Youth Golf Experience to introduce the game to deserving young kids who may not otherwise get the opportunity.

The clinic is the first in a series throughout the summer to get kids into the game and learn how it is a game of a lifetime.

“In 2023, we had a great turnout and this year we have even more kids who are here,” Crear said. “So kids between the ages of seven and 17 have an opportunity to come out here to our illustrious city golf course and learn the basic skills of golf. The goal was to try to get kids exposed to a game that can be somewhat, inaccessible. To them, it could be very expensive. Many times kids see people on TV and they go, ‘Man, that’d be very cool if I could try to have an opportunity to do that.’ And that’s exactly what we’re doing today.”
