Heading into the end of 2022 and 2023, the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association board of directors has implemented a series of new annual membership offerings that are designed to enhance value to the kids and families and are similar to like organizations in other communities.

Led by Membership & Programming Committee Chair Matt Steiner, the committee sought information and feedback before creating the different membership levels.

Some of the added value elements include:

“The SNJGA membership has only changed once in the last eight years from $30 to $39,” says Renee Rocco, executive director. “Our membership has grown by more than 40 percent in the last three years and we felt it was time to take a look at what additional benefits we could offer our growing membership. We also took a look at the surrounding junior organizations (Southern California tour, Utah Jr golf, Arizona, etc.) and noticed they offered various different options for membership for golfers who are just starting, to those who are competitive tournament players. This is how we landed on three tiers. In order to play in tournaments in other associations, you have to purchase a Tour Membership. We decided that that was something we needed to implement as we continue to grow.”

To play in tournaments, an SNJGA Tour Membership or SNJGA Tour Plus membership must be purchased.
