Emmerson Hinds has been on a hot streak for months, and it continued at the Las Vegas Women’s City Amateur at Las Vegas Golf Club. She fired rounds 72-69 to finish 3-under par to win the 2nd annual event that is part of Las Vegas City Am Week presented by the Southern Nevada Golf Association.

“I’m very happy to win it because it’s in my hometown and city, so it’s really nice to be the Las Vegas city Amateur champion,” Hinds said. “it’s definitely very cool to be part of something that’s just starting but also getting so big and it’s really cool to see it grow over the years and be able to etch my name in that history. I gave myself a lot of birdie opportunities over the two days and made some nice putts.”

Hinds also recently won the Nevada State High School 3A championship and had a big summer of playing in some top events including the U.S. Women’s Amateur.

“I’ve been working very hard, so it’s nice to see that all my hard work is paying off,” Hinds said.
