Southern Nevada is looking to win the Jay Don Blake Border War for the second straight year as the boys and girls from the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association take on the team from the Utah Junior Golf Association.

The event is scheduled for April 18-20 at Talon’s Cove in Utah.

Coach Karl Larcom, PGA of America and Boulder Creek and Boulder City Golf Course director of golf, is impressed with his team’s talent and spirit.

“This team has unbelievable talent and a love of golf,” Larcom said. “Junior golf continues to shine in Southern Nevada. We started with 38 juniors that were committee selected based off past playing. These boys and girls over the the last 6-months have stepped up their games and made the team. The SNJGA is full of opportunities for every level of junior. Golf is one of the few sports you can play your entire life. The SNJGA has programs available to juniors to get you started and help lead you in the right direction, no matter how serious you want to get.”
