Larry McGovern dedicated much of his life to serving others, and the game of golf held a special place in his heart.
In lieu of flowers, Larry’s family has asked for donations to be made to the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association at this donation link
Through his years of service as a U.S. Air Force Colonel, his work as a USGA Rules Expert, and his leadership within the Southern Nevada golf community, Larry made a lasting impact on the people and organizations fortunate enough to know him.
But beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry will be remembered for his love of golf, his friendships, his generosity, and his commitment to helping others enjoy and grow the game.
In Larry’s honor, we invite family, friends, colleagues, and fellow golfers to make a donation to Southern Nevada Junior Golf.
Your contribution will help provide young golfers with opportunities to learn, compete, develop important life skills, and experience the game Larry loved so much.
Carrying Larry’s Love of Golf Forward
A gift to Southern Nevada Junior Golf is more than a donation. It is a way to honor Larry’s legacy and help introduce the next generation to the game that brought him so much joy and so many lifelong friendships.
Whether you knew Larry for decades, shared a round of golf with him, worked alongside him, or simply want to honor his memory, your gift is a meaningful way to celebrate his life and the lasting difference he made.
Fairways, friendships, and a life well lived.
In memory of Larry McGovern, thank you for helping carry his love of golf forward to the next generation.
