Operation 36 by Golf Genius, the leading developmental golf program dedicated to beginner golfers, recently announced the recipients of their 2025 Top 50 Coach Award. And John Woodside, from the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association, was included in the prestigious list.
“I am very humbled by the recognition and it is a great honor,” Woodside said. “It proves that the hard work that we have put into our Operation 36 program has paid off. It is awesome to help these kids and watch them develop and grow. The progression of the kids is impressive. Some have made their high school teams and others play on the SNJGA Tour or the Mini Tour. It is hard to put into words how meaningful this recognition is to me.”
According to Operation 36 executives, the recognition is driven solely by quantitative data and rewards coaches who have the greatest impact on player development through their coaching programs. Each recipient coach is selected using a comprehensive data evaluation process that ensures an objective and meaningful measurement of student and coach success.
Operation 36 by Golf Genius is the most effective developmental program to teach beginners how to play golf. Operation 36 provides coaches the curriculum and technology to guide beginners to become skilled golfers through gamification, group classes and on-course events.
Ryan Dailey, the co-founder of Operation 36 commented, “The Top 50 Coach Award and Master Coach Award recognize coaches who deliver an exceptional and highly successful Operation 36 experience for beginner golfers. We congratulate this year’s winners for their remarkable achievements and their commitment to elevating the beginner experience and growing the game, one golfer at a time.”
Matt Reagan, Operation 36 Co-founder added, “We are incredibly proud of our Operation 36 Top 50 Coaches who continue to set the standard in player development. Their skill and dedication show in the measurable progress they create, introducing new golfers to the game and making the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable. We also celebrate this year’s Master Top 50 Coach Award recipients, a distinguished group whose commitment to consistent excellence is helping shape the future of golf.”
Woodside is already hard at work with the 2026 schedule, which begins with a Beginner’s session January 4. Other sessions will be available for registration beginning Jan. 1.
