Play 9 Development Tour

What is the Play 9 Development Tour?

The Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association is now offering the Play 9 Development Tour.  This tour is for junior golfers throughout Las Vegas and Henderson that would like to participate and learn more about the game of golf.  This tour is designed to get juniors (and parents) playing golf more regularly, instill confidence, and most importantly have fun!  By exposing new young players to a fun competition, we hope to teach sportsmanship, responsibility, and a great understanding of the game.

The Play 9 Development Tour will be split into different tours – spring, summer & fall.

At each event the players will compete among their age groups for cumulative season points.  At the final summer tour event we will be acknowledging the points leaders in each division as well as most improved players and sportsmanship awards across all divisions during the Play 9 Tour Championship Banquet.

The Play 9 Tour strongly encourages spectators to follow along and caddy’s to help players.  Parent’s may act as caddy’s during these events. Spectators are allowed and encouraged to advise players but are always required to use proper etiquette during the event. Volunteers are always welcome for spotting, shuttling, assisting players when needed.  The vision of this tour is to get young players wanting to compete and get better each event.
