“Share my passion” Girls Golf Clinic

This unique event asks girls (ages 6-12) to write an open letter to other girls their age telling them why they love the game of golf. Of the letters submitted, 40 finalists are chosen by Annika and the committee to attend the inspirational clinic.

The day begins with each of the four groups rotating through stations taught by Annika covering the fundamentals of driving, putting and the importance of fitness. Following the morning stations, the girls are treated to a healthy lunch.

Following lunch, Annika puts on a clinic for the girls and their guests which covers everything from pre-round warmups to shot execution. During the clinic, Annika fields many questions from the girls and is able to share her passion and insights with the next generation.

Following the clinic, the girls get a taste of the life of an LPGA player by visiting the media center and attending the practice round of a major championship.

Southern Highlands Golf Club burst onto the Las Vegas golf scene in grand style. Among the first to play the club was President Bill Clinton, who toured the course in the days before the official grand opening. Golf Digest immediately recognized the club as “Best New Private Club in the Western United States.” Since then, it has remained at or near the top of the private club list in Southern Nevada. Southern Highlands is now owned and operated by Pacific Links, the international private club conglomerate. Members and guests still enjoy the best of amenities but now also are part of the international club network of Pacific Links. Pacific Links also operates SouthShore Golf Club and DragonRidge Country Club in Southern Nevada. In 2015, Pacific Links and each property were named “Facilities of the Year” by the Southern Nevada Golf Association.
