At her college signing day, Clark High star Alliah Jordan made it official that she will play for Howard University. Among her accolades was winning the Las Vegas City Junior Amateur title and qualifying for the 2024 Notah Begay Junior National Championship. Now she goes next level.
“I’m definitely ready to become a Bison,” Jordan said. “It was mainly just the family vibes that I got from the team. The coaches were so amazing. They were so kind to me when I went down there. The girls on the team were so welcoming and sweet and the campus itself is just gorgeous.”
Howard University is a private university in Washington, D.C. and was founded in 1867. It is known for academic excellence and a long list of distinguished alumni including Thurgood Marshall, Kamala Harris and many others.
“My goals at the next level are to get my game to the point where I can go on the LPGA Tour,” Jordan said. “And when I get to college, I hope to bring such a kind hearted, lighthearted spirit to my team and just make the team the best that I can
At the signing, the room at Clark High was filled with family, friends, and coaches, including Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame inductee Jim Hart who has worked with Jordan since she was six.
“I want to say thank you guys so much for coming and I really appreciate it,” Jordan said. “I love all of you from the bottom of my heart and everybody just showing up today. It really means a lot to me just to know how many people really love and care about me.”
The SNJGA had other college signings and we will continue to spotlight them throughout the year.
