Each year, 100+ golfers gather in Golf Summerlin for the annual Walter M. Galyk Scholarship tournament to raise funds for Southern Nevada Junior Golf graduating seniors. This year, the event will also be played in memory of Camille Galyk, who passed away and joined Walter in the fairway in the sky.
The Galyk event is scheduled for April 29, 2026, at Highland Falls Golf Club. The public is invited and welcome to play and enjoy and special day of camaraderie.
Camille made sure to include the underwriting of the event in the Galyk Trust, ensuring that all proceeds go to building the futures of young men and women in Southern Nevada.
“We are so honored and humbled by the commitments of Walter and Camille, and this year will be special to honor Camille on her passing,” said Tim Quinn, president, Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association. “Their contribution to the SNJGA and our kids is indelible. We will play in their honor and remember all that they have done and continue to do in Memoriam.”
