Happy New Year!  Now that 2025 has begun, let’s do a quick review of 2024.

We had a very good year, and accomplished many things with our tournaments, scholarships, programming and Youth On Course activities. A big thank you to our board members, staff and volunteers for their commitment to making junior golf successful in Southern Nevada.

Our priority is always providing our membership with opportunities  – to learn the game of golf, to access courses at an affordable price, to compete in local tournaments and earn spots on regional and national competitive teams, and to enrich their lives by assisting with educational scholarships.

Special thanks to everyone who assisted with our clinics, courses that hosted events in 2024 and support our Youth On Course program, and all of our donors who make everything possible. It’s also important to recognize our members and their families for their passion towards this wonderful game, and the future we all share together.

We continue to partner with the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame to provide educational scholarships to our members, and we jointly gave away $52,000 to our 2024 graduating class. Thank you to the Hall of Fame, the family of Walter M. Galyk, and all of our donors, for making this possible.

Youth On Course provided our members with 5223 rounds of golf for $5 or less. This is a huge opportunity for kids to get out on the course and enjoy the game. The SNJGA provided $47,967 to subsidize these rounds, all because of the generosity of our donors.

In 2025, we will continue to support our members. We have expanded our tournament schedule to include younger players with our Southern Nevada Junior Golf Mini Tour, and those who are new to the game and not quite ready to compete at a higher level.  Hopefully, some of our future stars will emerge from this effort. We have a great team of dedicated  instructors to help kids get started with golf, and to improve their skills over time. We will continue various fundraising activities, to provide donors with an opportunity to support our programs while having fun at the same time.

Also, we have partnered with the Southern Nevada Golf Association to run our tournaments and streamline the membership process. The SNGA has always been a great partner for junior golf in Southern Nevada and this only strengthens that partnership.

We look forward to 2025 and we thank you for your membership and support!
