It was a Nevada State 5A Boys Golf Championships for the ages at Mountain Falls Golf Club, when Coronado High came back from a 10-shot day one deficit to win by one shot over defending champion Bishop Gorman.
Coronado was led by Anderson Lee who carded a 4-under par 68 on the final day to win low medalist at 6-under par. And the celebration was on.
Harrison Hashimoto from Spanish Springs was runner up, four shots behind Lee. Coronado’s Brent Chung tied for third with Reed’s Tyson Timmons and Bridger Johnson from Shadow Ridge.
The other Cougars team members were Eli Marshall, Trey Repetti, Brock Walters and Darren Hung
The 5a state golf championships and several other NIAA golf championships were organized by the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association in conjunction with the NIAA. Congratulations to all state champs.
