Twice in 2025, Ariya Soldwisch returned to Las Vegas to play in a college event after her Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association career. She played in the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek and then finished 7th in the Big West Conference Golf Championships at Spanish Trail Country Club.
Soldwisch’s finish in the Big West event is the best by a CSUN Matador golfer since Brianna Steger finished second at the 2019 Big West Women’s Golf Championship at Moorpark Country Club.
Each time she comes home, the memories of playing Southern Nevada Junior Golf and high school golf come back for the 2024 Las Vegas City Junior Champion.
“One of my best memories of junior golf here in Nevada is winning the Las Vegas City Junior Am this past summer,” Soldwisch says. “It was a great start to my summer and onto my collegiate career. It was a great segue and I miss junior golf. It was a super fun, great experience.”
Soldwisch won for the first time as a college golfer in September 2024 when she won the Eagle Invitational at Circling Raven G.C. in Idaho. She fired back-to-back rounds of 69 en route to the T1 finish.
Soldwisch played at Coronado High and helped the Cougars to three Nevada state championships.
