It’s always special when we honor history and that is what took place Saturday, Oct. 22 at the historic Las Vegas Golf Club during the playing of the annual Las Vegas Champions Classic as part of Las Vegas City Amateur week. In all, 10 past champions of major Southern Nevada amateur tournaments took part in the event that also raised money for the Southern Nevada Golf Association. Those sponsoring the event including 3-time Nevada State Senior Amateur champion Todd Roberts and the Nevada Golf Alliance. More than $7,000 was raised. The Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association thanks course general manager Ryan Humphreys for his support and that of Arcis Golf.
